01 Garden office
Insulated, wired and quiet — a proper workplace away from the house, usable all year round.

Solid timber garden rooms · Delivered and installed across Ireland
Who we are
For more than twenty years our team has built bars, restaurants and hotel interiors across Europe under the name Bars & Interiors — from the raw timber frame to the final coat of lacquer, all made in-house. Garden Rooms brings that same workshop and the same people to Irish gardens: solid timber buildings, made in our own factory, delivered and installed by the team that built them.
What it's for
Every building is fitted out for its use. These are the ones we build most often.
Insulated, wired and quiet — a proper workplace away from the house, usable all year round.
VisualisationReinforced floor, good ventilation and room for full-size equipment.
VisualisationA dedicated sauna module with a changing area — can be combined with an office or gym.
Music, art, pottery or crafts — a bright space where you can leave the work out.
Therapy room, treatment room or small salon at home, without a commercial lease.
Real buildSolid timber storage and workshop buildings for tools, bikes and equipment.
Our garden rooms are designed as non-habitable buildings — for work, wellness and hobbies, not for sleeping or living in.
Models
Choose a footprint, then add the modules you need. Using one engineered system keeps quality consistent and lead times short.
18 m² · 5.2 × 3.5 m
Compact — a garden office, home gym or one open studio. Office + sauna also fits.
23 m² · 6.0 × 3.8 m
Flexible — two rooms, such as office + sauna, or studio + WC.
30 m² · 7.0 × 4.3 m
Largest — a big studio or business space, or office + sauna + WC.
All three sizes are designed to fit within Ireland's 30 m² planning exemption for garden rooms, provided the conditions are met. Check the conditions →

Real buildTrack record
Before Garden Rooms, our team spent over two decades building hospitality interiors: pubs, restaurants and hotels in eight countries. Custom joinery, bar counters, timber structures and full fit-outs, delivered on schedule for commercial clients who could not afford to open late. The same craftsmen and the same factory now build your garden room.

Our factory
We work with slow-grown spruce from the Carpathian forests. The timber is dried, milled and built into finished panels in our own factory, so we control quality at every stage. The people who make your building are the people who install it.
Standards & warranty
A garden room is a serious purchase. Here is exactly what you can expect from us.
Kiln-dried spruce, an insulated timber frame and finished panels made in our own factory — no flat-pack kits.
Insulated floor, walls and roof, an EPDM rubber roof membrane and insulated aluminium glazing.
Designed with the Irish Building Regulations in mind. You receive the drawings and specification for your records.
The connection to your home's supply must be completed and certified by a Safe Electric registered electrician, as Irish law requires.
Every building comes with a written warranty on structure and workmanship. The terms are set out in your contract before you pay anything.
60% on order, 40% spread over the following year. You see your finished building in photos and video before it leaves the factory.
Planning permission
In most cases, no. Irish rules allow a garden room of up to 30 m² at the back of your house without planning permission, as long as these conditions are met:
All our models (18, 23 and 30 m²) are designed to meet the size and height limits.
